Autumn returns to color the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities and, on the weekends of 3-4 and 10-11 October 2026, the Municipality of Roana and its hamlets will welcome the new edition of "Vèrben - a train of colors", the great festival dedicated to one of the most evocative seasons of the year.
For two weekends , woods, squares and public spaces will become the stages of a journey through nature, traditions, outdoor activities, shows and flavors of the area, with a rich program designed for adults, children and families. Excursions and walks, workshops, games, shows, music, markets and gastronomic proposals will animate Mezzaselva, Roana, Camporovere, Canove, Cesuna and Treschè Conca.
The common thread of the event will be the journey to discover autumn and the different souls of the Roana area. And on the second weekend, that of 10 and 11 October, the Vèrben itinerant train will also return, on which it will be possible to get on and off at the three stations of the festival to reach the various activities. Accompanying the route will be a train conductor who will tell stories, legends and curiosities related to the environment and the places crossed.
The itinerary of the train recalls that of the historic "Vaca Mora", the steam train that from 1910 to 1958 connected the plain to the plateau, passing through Treschè Conca, Cesuna and Canove up to Asiago. A reminder of the memory of the territory that well represents the spirit of Vèrben: a journey in stages through villages, woods, flavors and traditions, united by the colors of autumn.
Ample space will be dedicated to nature and outdoor experiences, with treasure hunts, workshops dedicated to trees and the forest, nature photography, tandem paragliding flights, archery and even an escape room in nature. There will be numerous proposals aimed at children and families, from popular games of the past to fairy tales, from creative workshops to activities dedicated to the discovery of the environment.
The flavors and ancient gestures of tradition will also be the protagonists: from mountain apples squeezed with a press to the preparation of butter with wild herbs, from cheesemaking in the square to the discovery of the world of bees and honey.
To complete the offer there will be food stands, markets, autumn aperitifs, roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and seasonal menus offered in the different hamlets.
Also suggestive are the appointments with music, stories and shows. At nightfall, some excursions with lanterns will cross woods and paths, including fairy tales, ancient legends, music and fire shows. The program will also include concerts, entertainment, a photographic exhibition dedicated to the colors of autumn, the Great Autumn Parade and, at the end of the event, a show of aerial fabrics.
To enrich the first weekend there will also be the traditional patronal feast of Santa Giustina in Roana, with celebrations and musical entertainment.
"Vèrben - a train of colors" will therefore be a double weekend to immerse yourself in autumn on the Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities, moving from village to village and rediscovering the territory of Roana through foliage, traditions, flavors and many experiences to be lived in the open air.

Suggestive evening return with lanterns.

8.00 pm | Autumn emotions
• Experiential wellness workshop for adults. Through the language of shapes and color, art becomes a mediator to listen to oneself, rework one's experiences, relax and find a greater balance. No particular artistic skills are necessary.

• Someone has tampered with a map: a destination has disappeared and some clues do not add up. Escape from the Woods begins, a real Escape Room in nature! Divided into teams, you will have two hours to solve puzzles, decipher codes and follow clues along the way. Will you be able to find out who altered the map, why and where did they want to hide? Those who complete the mission will conquer the Treasure of Vèrben, with delicious local products.
For adults and families with children from 8 years old who are used to walking.
