Vermeer: "girl with a Pearl Earring" and other masterpieces, Roana Tuesday, August 14, 2012
With the next meeting of "art Tuesdays"-which will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 next in the sala s. Giustina di Roana at 17.30 hours – ends the cycle of meetings dedicated to the seventeenth-century Dutch painting and reading and interpretation of works of art.
Prof. David Apolloni led fans to discover the masterpieces and the great masters of painting, assisted by the usual "musical brushstrokes" Culture & music.
This last event is entitled "Vermeer: girl with a Pearl Earring and other masterpieces" and is dedicated to the famous painter lived in Delft in 1632 to 1675.
"Girl with a Pearl Earring" is undoubtedly his best known work. Taking as a starting point this his masterpiece, so mysterious and evocative that also inspired the best-seller by Tracy Chevalier -which was made into a film--then the prof. David Apolloni will introduce one of the most enigmatic figures of the history of art, a painter who attributed very few artworks, made with an attention to detail and an absolute realism, but capable of creating unique emotions.
