Visit and meeting at the Astronomical Observatory of Asiago, ' Saturday December 1, 2012
Continue the visits and meetings organized every first Saturday of the month, until Saturday, June 1, 2013 'Astronomical Observatory of Asiago.
The ' Observatory, located in Asiago but property of Padua, also offers several astronomical meetings aimed at individual tourists during Christmas or during special events.
Saturday, December 1, 2012, all ' in the multimedia room of the 'Observatory in Pennar, held a Conference and some guided observations of the sky, weather permitting.
In case of good weather prevails in the observational part, conducted with the Telescope in multimedia room to Pennar and remotely with the Schmidt telescope of Cima Ekar (we use the same standing media room).
In case of bad weather is deepened the theme of the evening.
In any case you visit the Galileo Telescope, which is the historic telescope of Asiago, completed in 1942.
The main purpose of the meetings is to make known to the general public as does the work of astronomers, as we manufacture the telescopes, which are today the best tools for astronomical research and the results obtained.
The ' Asiago plateau is home to the largest telescopes of ' National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) on land managed by the National Astronomical Observatory of Padova ' that in Asiago has for decades his observational seat. It is not only an important research site, but also a place where the public can come into contact with the great themes of modern astronomy.
