Snowshoeing
Historic guided walk or snowshoeing among the places of the Great War coni Asiago Guide
Saturday 20 March 2021 from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm
DESTINATION: Mount Lemerle - Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
The route may change due to the presence of ice/ snow but the difficulty and the theme will remain unchanged. If there is not enough snow to snowshoe it will be a walk.
From the town of Cesuna, a characteristic mountain village, we head to a fir forest to immerse ourselves in nature and let ourselves be pervaded by the balsamic notes and the beauty of the winter forest.
Step by step we cross what were during the Great War battlefields of Mount Lemerle,as evidenced by the still visibleloopholes, the English command post,the cippi erected in the post-war period and the young forest.
The guide interpreting the landscape will lead you on a journey through history to give you an experience in nature full of emotions!
Reservations are required.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.
DIFFICULTY: We assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The path is ring, does not present particular technical difficulties and there are no exposed sections. It develops between mountain trails and dirt roads. The uphill difference is less than 300 m, the length does not exceed 7 km.
TO TAKE WITH you: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, cap, gloves.
COST: 15€, for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years old.
Possible rental of snowshoes and sticks: 10€ per person.
