The itinerary starts a few kilometers from the town of Rubbio. Leaving Monte Caina on the right, we cross areas dedicated to meadow-pasture to enter a mixed forest rich in biodiversity.
Inside the forest we will be able to relive what was life in the trenches during the Great War. In fact, we will walk along the walkways that arose after the defeat of Caporetto that will lead us to the Belvedere Est area. From here we will understand how strategic the Italian positions were to protect the Brenta Canal and watch over grappa, with a breathtaking view that from the northern area of the plateau takes us to the Euganean Hills, passing through the Val di Brenta and the Grappa Massif.
The proposed itinerary is characterized by the presence of mountain paths and dirt roads. A short part of the route will be carried out inside a restored trench dating back to the First World War. There are no exposed strokes.

Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging).

The route is a ring and does not present particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.

TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the trip (at least 1 liter).

COST: € 15 for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years.
