Guided historical-naturalistic walk through the places of the Great War
Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 9.30 am to 3:30 pm
Guided historical-naturalistic walk through the places of the Great War.
META: Monte Zebio – Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
Walking through the enchanting views of Monte Zebio we will discover the war events that have marked this place.
The area was the scene of fierce clashes during the Great War, it was one of the junctions of the Austrian "Winterstellung" and opposite stood the Italian trenches from where they tried in vain to regain the positions lost in 1916. Here during his "year on the Plateau" also fought Captain Emilio Lussu,in fact we will find the cemetery of his department: the Sassari Brigade.
