Wednesday of astronomy, "hunting for supernovae in the sky of Asiago", August 5, 2015
I Wednesday of astronomy to Asiago always lead a wave of innovation and curiosity in thePlateau. The topic in itself fascinating, is of great interest, particularly among smaller-as our skies are still "mystery object" for much of their greatness.
The August 5 , 2015 Henry Calley will take you in search of particular stars: supernovae.
From 21.00 at theAula Magna of the elementary schools, the expert will present the astronomer "hunting for supernovae in the sky of Asiago".
What is a supernova?
The supernova is theexplosion of a star caused by the gravitational collapse of matter that composed.
In a very simple, when a star has finished all burning gas is "compressed" by gravitational force. This compression will overheat again and accumulate energy for as long as the energy to be released will be so much that the star will explode by issuing a strong brightness and much material at high speeds.
