Wind Orchestra concert Rocco Davis of Montescaglioso in Asiago-7 August 2017

Musical evening that will enliven the Centre of Asiago Monday 7 August 2017, from 21.00 hours.

To perform in a emozioante concert will be theconcert band Rocco Davis of Montescaglioso (Matera). The musicians will give breath to trumpets, trombones, flutes and other wind instruments for an exhibition by real talents.

In case of bad weather the concert will take place at Teatro Millepini

Theconcert band "Rocco D'ambrosio (former Band Rocco D'Ambrosio) of Montescaglioso, Matera, talking 1983, resuming a glorious tradition ultra centenarian, which continues today with success.
The D'Ambrosio represents for the whole territory of Montescaglioso, Matera, Basilicata region and throughout the South, an important vehicle for dissemination of music. By virtue of high artistic and organizational reach, the reputation of the Orchestra has crossed national borders bringing D'Ambrosio to perform in many concerts abroad.

The best instrumentalists in the entire province of Matera and Basilicata, conveyed in the Orchestra, brought Davis to be the reference wind orchestra, not only for industry insiders, but also for the entire public opinion Lucana.
Numerous achievements and awards including:
-the "concert of Hope" of 2009 which received the approval of the President of the Republic;
-the first prize at theEuro Musiktage , Bosell in Germany;
-participation in the tv show "Hi folks on Channel 5;
-concerts of Singen, Cloppenburg, and Oldenburg in Germany;
-not least the memorable performance with the legendary Jazz trumpeter Chet Baker in the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo in Montescaglioso.

The artistic director, maestro Giovanni Pompey, he graduated with honors, from the Conservatory of Matera in 1995, and holds a Bachelor's degree in musical disciplines in 2007 in Bari, always with the highest marks. She studied at the Academy of the Filarmonica della Scala di Milanoas well as composition and conducting with maestro Nicola Hansalik Samale. He played with the most prestigious Italian and foreign (including theOrchestra of la scala in Milan and the Wiener Philarmoniker in Vienna). Has conducted tour around the world, in the most prestigious concert halls under the leadership of the most important conductors including the famous Riccardo Muti. He is artistic director of the Lams of Matera
