Are you going to Portugal? Remember to send me a postcard with views of Asiago. Don't worry, it's not a joke, as it might seem. In the name of Asiago and its Philatelic Prize, now in the Jubilee buoy, Philatelia of the Lisbon Post Office has launched an eye-catching promotional campaign of the capital of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities. He did it through a colorful and super illustrated illustrated postcard.
Due to Carla Carasa Ramos, the postcard, branded"Asiago international prize of philatelic art"proposes the top of the facade ofthe Town Hall with the windows of the Hall of Paintings, the windows of the Hall of Paintings, the windows of the Hall of Paintings, the windows of the Hall of Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the Hall of The Paintings, the windows of the flower jars, the coats of arms of the Seven Municipalities, the flag of Asiago and the Italian tricolor.
At the back, in the art part, the one reserved for the address and greetings, is imprinted the stamp on which is indicated in plain evidence that the shipment can be carried out throughout Europe. The intriguing image consists of a view of Piazza Carli, with in the center the Fountain of faun, protector of the flocks and fields, riding a roe deer. In the sides of the fountain, erected in the years from 1927 to 1928 on an octagonal basis made of red marble of Asiago the author, the vice-chinese sculptor Giuseppe Zanetti, placed four bronze sculptures depicting as many animals of the woods: the eagle, and to follow the squirrel, the fox and the grouse.
In the background stands the mighty structure of the cathedral rebuilt after the Great War, dedicated to St. Matthew, patron of the city.
On the left side of the footprint of value the emblem of the Asiago International Prize of philatelic art, taking place on Sunday, September 20,starting at 11 o'clock, in the Hall of the Paintings of the Municipal Palace.
In the context of which it will be possible to procure the postcard, branded with cancellation dominated by the Alpine star,a naturalistic kind of star to the merit awarded to the Asiago Prize of the 50th anniversary.
The image is reminiscent of what thePhilatelic and Numismatic Office of San Marino, using the creative support of the design studio Explorers of space, has proposed through the 2.20 euros made in tribute to the International Asiago Prize of Philatelic Art.
The white alpine star that makes up the image of the stamp was made using a refined embossed printing process so that, touching it with fingertip, it almost seems to be true.
Well understood also this extraordinary tribute of San Marino, which during the fifty years of the International Prize Asiago d'Arte philatelia wrote five times its name in the golden book of the event, it will be possible to buy, together with the special cancellation for the prize specially made by Tullio Pericoli, in the store open for the occasion in the Altopiano from the Philatelic and Numismatic Office of the world' smaller and oldest republic.
Which has many similarities to what was the ancient League of Seven Sisters, then transformed into The Spectacular Regency of the Seven Communes. Leading it 14 councillors (two for each municipality), called Regents. As Regents (two in this case) I am the head of the Republic of San Marino.
In 1807, on June 20, Napoleon suppressed it, erasing with a stroke of sponge centuries of history and autonomous government.
