Asiago presents the 2016 summer program

Plenty of events scheduled in Asiago for the summer 2016

This year, themunicipal administration of Asiago wanted to propose many events for the young people present on the plateau and for this August in Piazza Duomo has 5 Friday the concert of Alessio Bernabei, Saturday 6 August evening Remember 70-80 "Saturday night fever" and Tuesday 16 August the Company Contact Tour 2016 with a fireworks show and concert of Francesca Majeed.

In the summer program there will be cultural events such as Theatre, the meeting in collaboration with the Observatory of Padua headquarters of Asiago and the Astronomy Department of the University of Padua scheduled for Saturday 23 July entitled "News of the solar system from the Asiago Observatory to probe Schiapparelli traveling to Mars, passing through three decades of comets" with the participation of the science journalist of the Corriere della sera Giovanni Caprara and Cesare Barbieri astronomer and Professor at the University of Padua.  Between July and August engendered various visits to Pennar and Ekar Observatory in collaboration with the Observatory of Asiago.

On the main stage at the Palazzo del Turismo Millepini and Council Chamber will be proposed meetings with the authors and the "appetizers with the author", meetings and presentations of books by authors of the calibre of Gianluigi Nuzzi, Antonio Ballerini Award winner Mario Rigoni Stern 2016 fiction section, Joseph Mendicino, Beppe Severgnini, Stephen Laporte and many others. Thursday, July 28 at 17.30 at the central stage there will be a round of the 54th Edition of the Premio Campiello.

The exhibitions organized for this holiday season are as follows: the Museum Prisons until 20 November will be opened the photo exhibition entitled "the plateau – excursion in the work and in the landscape of Mario Rigoni Stern" by Loïc Seron.
At the Museum battle of the three hills of Sasso di Asiago will be open until September 11, 2016 the exhibition "the plateau's at the front – Don Giovanni Rossi Chaplain of the great war". Under the two exhibitions will also be offered for events such as book presentations about the same, guided visits, children's workshops and guided excursions.

View the centenary of the great war, will propose initiatives at Monte Zebio, one of the symbols of World War I and the strong Interrupted even to enhance the restoration of one of the most popular places of our plateau.  As part of the centenary of the great war was held at the Palazzo del Turismo Millepini July 29 to 31 in the days since, in collaboration with the CISUI – Centro interuniversitario per la storia delle università italiane, the Conference "Minerva army – universities and the great war" with the participation of numerous speakers from all over Europe. On days 30 and 31 July at Monte Zebio will hold a Memorial Service to remember the contribution that brought the Sassari Brigade in the events of the great war. The event is organized by the Regional defence forces Command North of Padua in collaboration with the municipality of Asiago, the Association Ta Pum and the Sardinian Associations Federation in Italy. With the participation of the Fanfare of the Sassari Brigade.

There will also be concerts of classical music with the 50th Edition of AsiagoFestival. Friday 19 September at 21.00 at the Duomo San Mateo will be offered the concert with I solisti Veneti and the participation of Oleg Vereschaghin, the world's greatest accordionist.

From 20 to 27 March through the streets and squares of the city centre will take place the international woodcarving competition 34: 14 sculptors will work for a week before the eyes of tourists and residents to create a work which will then be judged by a jury. The contest will end on Saturday 27 August at 16.00 hours with the awards at the gardens of Piazza Carli.

Throughout the summer there will be workshops for children as part of the initiative "GiocAsiago", which will be held at the Prison Museum, Asiago primary schools, at the Museum of the water in the locality of Naturalistic Museum and educational "Patrick Kaberlaba Raghava".

Throughout the summer will be offered day trips by Association "Highland Guides" and the Asiago Guide that will be both historical and naturalistic which in this case will be visited top places on the plateau where it fought during World War I.

In the days from 8 to 11 September the historic center will host the 5th Edition of Made in mountain huts, an event that offers the enhancement of alpine dairy farming and the promotion of other typical products of mountain farming.
