Asiago made the largest Easter egg in the world by the international artist Ovet Von Dent

The huge chocolate egg built on the Fountain of the Faun in Piazza Carli will be inaugurated on Sunday 1 April 2018 and opened on Easter Monday, with a big party open to all

Once again Asiago is confirmed as the city of records: on the night of April 1, 2018, on the occasion of the Easter holiday, the great German mâitre chocolatier of international fame Ovet Von Dent made the largest chocolate egg in the world in the heart of the highland town.

The majestic work of chocolate in the shape of an Easter egg was built using as a base the central Fountain of the Faun in Piazza Carli, which will thus act as a great surprise, once the egg is opened.
To achieve it, the artist Von Dent and his team of helpers worked continuously and in great secrecy throughout the night, using more than 71,000 chocolate bars, for a total weight of over 7300 kg and a height equal to that of the bell tower of the town hall of Asiago.
To transport the chocolate, several trips were made with the Vaca Mora steam locomotive put back into operation in the Strada del Vecchio Trenino from April 1, 2014. 

Every detail has been taken care of in every detail, trying to reproduce as faithfully as possible a real Easter egg, both from the point of view of taste and from that of form. The final touch was given by the large red bow, placed on the egg with the help of the Asiago.it taxi-drone, inaugurated on April 1, 2017.

A truly record-breaking enterprise, destined to go down in history and that can only be visited on Easter 2018.
The huge chocolate egg of Asiago, in fact, will be inaugurated on Sunday 1 April 2018, in the presence of the Authorities, the judges of the Guinness Book of Records and all those who want to attend this extraordinary event, and then be opened on Monday 2 April 2018, on the occasion of Easter Monday. 

That of the opening of the largest Easter egg in the world will be a beautiful party, with the exciting moment of cutting, live music, animations and, of course, many stations with benches and tables where you can sit and enjoy the excellent egg chocolate.

Surely, chocolate and fun will not be lacking for this Guinness Book of Records event, destined to go down in history!
