Enego opens the summer season and so touristy, so hopefully, with a tempting offer, addressing in particular to history buffs, and especially not forgetting the centenary.

These days at the Cathedral of St. Giustina, St. Anthony's altar, found place a diorama well built and full of details, edited by Michele Waxed, collector eneghese, dedicated to the role of military chaplains during the first military conflict. Enrich and accompany the diorama also some pictures, drawings of Domenica del Corriere and some sacred objects, often created by the same soldiers, who accompanied and tried to comfort many soldiers during the atrocities of war, and finally some items used by the priests to celebrate mass, and in the most diverse occasions. Military chaplains who could be priests, pastors, rabbis, in multiethnic Waldensians Austro-Hungarian Empire there were also the imam to comfort all Muslim soldiers.

Figures, those of military chaplains, sometimes controversial, because many of them were actual soldiers and took up the weapon, had to do war propaganda, this was one of their roles! Proclaiming the Gospel, but on the other hand, extol the virtues of the soldier: patriotism and obedience.

They were curators of souls, rescuers, as helpers of physicians; often also, they write home for soldiers, as high illiteracy rates were then the only bond knew with your family, civilization, that of the trenches seemed distant, a mirage. Were all essential to the soldiers at the front, that they were spiritual support, help, comfort, that mercy as if it had been more widespread even among those who commanded, probably the useless slaughter would not have accomplished!

By focusing the attention on the aspect of mercy, in this Jubilee year, this small exhibition was presented Sunday, June 26 at Bishop Mons. Claudio Padua Church elected Bishop of Onion for less than a year and visiting just Enego, one of its stages to meet the various communities of the diocese. A chance to see this diorama, dedicated to the figure of the military chaplain, there will be until next July 10.

Wanting to do a course dedicated to the great war then you can visit the permanent exhibitiondedicated to the great war, "Memories", which will open with saving time from July, all Saturday afternoon, 17-19 and Sunday morning 10 – 12.

From 6 to 21 August instead will be Open every day, morning and afternoon. Being a permanent exhibition is renewed periodically by exposing new things.

From July will be vision personal items of Colonel Count Avogadro degli Azzolini aide-de-camp of King Vittorio Emanuele III during the great war. Will be on display: personal diaries, correspondence, uniforms and service medals.

But the big news of this exhibit offer pleasant and precious and particularly rich and easy under the historical and local historian is the interactive station, which will see more than 200 pictures, some unpublished, and develop different themes inherent in the first conflict, and in particular what it meant for Enego and its territory.

Not least will allow an in-depth analysis on the heroic figure of Colonel Fincato, a native of Enego. Finally to close the historic route, from 6 to 21 August will be open, at middle school, a viewonce again curated by Michele Waxed, devoted to military health care in the great war, a show that promises to be rich in material and curiosity.

A really interesting history and definitely not to be missed!
