Una montagna di cose - Altopiano di Asiago 2020

An invitation to rediscover all the wealth of the Vicentine lands affected by storm Vaia

Almost 2 years have passed since Storm Vaia, and today the territories of the Vicentina mountain affected by that destructive natural phenomenon present themselves with a new face, revealing incredible riches and a splendor that deserves to be valued and, to a large extent, rediscovered.

"AMountain of Things"is the title of the event, created by LAG Montagna Vicentina on behalf of the Vicenz Chamber of Commercethrough the project to apply to the equal fund " EmergencyVeneto: support to the territories and businesses affected by the flood events of October 2018", which invites people to seek, in these places, destinations until now unexplored, to live experiences never tried before, to leave the road to the unknown alley, thus seizing the beauty ofthe unknown alley.

The event will take place on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August 2020 between Asiago, Enego, Roana, Gallio and Canove (in the province of Vicenza), representing the 22 Vicentine municipalities affected by the storm.
Two days of outdoor events and shows,a sign of a rebirth of these lands through art,to bring attention to the mountain territory, as a tourist destination rich in resources, proposals and potential to appreciate, even with a view to slow tourism and proximity.
We discover that the whole mountain of Vicentina really presents"a mountain of things" to do, to see, to savor, in every season of the year, and in doing so we re-evaluate the territories of the province.

The scheduled appointments open with three"Theatrical Excursions with Crime"entitled"Who Killed the Trees?",an original subject written and performed by the Theatrical Shells of Fantasy of Verona. Departures will be Saturday, August 29 at 10am from the Valmaron Refuge (Enego) and Sunday 30 August at 9.30am from Malga Pusterle (Val D'Assa – Roana location). Suitable for any type of walker, provided they are equipped with the suitable clothing for the forest, they will last about two and a half hours.

In this experience, participants, returning to the scene of the crime, are called as an active part in the investigation. With the collaboration of the actors, walking in the places that are the scene of this crime, hikers will solve the yellow, between ideas for reflection on the daily behaviors of safeguarding the territories, and in the light of a new environmental awareness.

Saturday, August 29 at 21.00 at the multifunctional Palace of Canove, you will witness"Near the Clouds",the premiere of Sand Art by Sara Ferrari, conceived and produced by the artist and Titian Marchetto, organizer of the event. With sand, the artist creates and transforms the figures of a story for images that project themselves on stage through a bright table. The show opens symbolically with the sawdust obtained from the cutting of the trees felled by Vaia, a raw material of artistic creation. From this suggestion we then move on to the sand, with which we give life to a continuous becoming of forms that are organized in narration, in a parable in which the glorious nature passes through the darkness of destruction, to return to shine with newfound beauty.

On Sunday, August 30 at 4.30 pm at asiago's Millepini Park, the Concert of the Rainbow Choir,of Caorle (VE), will finally be held, which will give life tothe "Voices of the Woods". After Vaia, the woods returns to sing with joy, celebrating its own rebirth, through the young voices of the 40 boys of the choir (aged between 7 and 18 years), directed by Maria Dal Rovere.
The show designed for Asiago starts from a repertoire that ranges among the most beautiful songs of Italian pop,of the music of the Golden Zecchino,of musicals,up to the gospel to immerse yourself in an atmosphere made of memories and emotions, and brings back the joy, enthusiasm and energy of the music that unites man and nature.
Coldiretti and Campagna Amica will offer the products for a "Conscious Snack" for all the boys in the choir, and an Agribag for each, in addition to other local products, genuine and quality, of the different municipalities and companies of the territory. It will be a time to develop the sensitivity of the new generations towards healthy and correct nutrition, focusing on the importance of seasonality and biodiversity of food.

Over the two days, finally, it will be possible for everyone to participate in"Words of Love",the open microphone of journalist Laura Ferrari,to tell about their love for these places, and of course on social media using the hashtag #unamontagnadicose.
