On Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 5.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., a special evening organized by the Pro loco of Mezzaselva, in collaboration with Asiago Guide, awaits you: "Moonlight at Baito Erio with Dinner", a guided snowshoe hike at night at Baito Erio with dinner.
Guided by the moonlight reflecting on the white snow, you will immerse yourself in the unspoiled nature of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities. Snowshoeing, you will cross the woods and pastures enveloped in this magical evening atmosphere, in which you will feel as if time has stopped and all that matters is the present moment.
When you arrive at the hut, you will find the warmth and crackling of the lit fire waiting for you and an excellent dinner to enjoy with friends!
The typical menu for the evening at Baito Erio includes:
- Highlander's soup
- platter of cured meats and cheeses from the Asiago Plateau with side dishes
- Dessert and coffee
- Water and wine included
At the end of the dinner you will return to the starting point along a simple route.
It will really be an exciting and convivial experience, during which the guides will be able to involve you with curiosity about the landscape that surrounds you and about the queen of the evening, the moon!

In the event that there is not enough snow for snowshoeing, you will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
INFORMATION
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 220 m, there are no exposed sections.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, water or hot tea for the duration of the hike, a small snack such as dried fruit. Headlamp, possibly with a recommended steady red light.
COST: 50€ per person for the guided excursion, snowshoe rental and dinner.
If it is not a snowshoe hike due to the absence of snow, the price will not change.

From there it is necessary to travel by car with your own vehicle on an asphalt road, about 7 minutes.
