From Thursday 26 December 2024 to Monday 6 January 2025, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, Fort Corbin will be open every day, from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
An excellent opportunity to spend a day immersed in the history of the Plateau, visiting the fortress and the historical military museum inside, where original war artifacts, photographs and period documents of the Great War are exhibited.
The Fort of Punta Corbin was in fact one of the Italian forts used during the First World War, to defend the Vicenza Prealps, although it was active only for a short period and then was occupied by the Austrians during the Strafexpedition of 1916. After the retreat of the opponents, it returned to Italian hands and was used as an observatory until the end of the conflict.
In addition to the fort, you will also find the bar and the refreshment point open, if you want to stop and enjoy a pleasant refreshment break.
To reach it with a pleasant excursion on foot you can take the itinerary from Treschè Conca to Forte Corbin.
