On Tuesday 13 February 2024, from 5.00 pm to 9.30 pm, an adventure under the stars awaits lovers in Mezzaselva, in a special evening organized by the Pro loco, in collaboration with Asiago Guide: "Waiting for Valentine's Day by candlelight at Baito Erio", a romantic guided snowshoe hike at night at Baito Erio with dinner.
Guided by the warm and soft light of lanterns, we will make our way through the snow under the starry sky.
We will take a look at the mountains to discover legendary, authentic, Cimbrian border loves ; a look at the constellations to get lost in the mythological stories of forbidden loves; A look at the forest to be amazed by the wild loves of mountain plants and animals.
Immersed in this atmosphere, where it will seem that time has stopped and all that matters is the present moment, we will arrive at the hut where a fire will be lit and an excellent dinner with friends will be waiting for us!
The typical menu for the evening at Baito Erio includes:
- Highlander's soup
- platter of cured meats and cheeses from the Asiago Plateau with side dishes
- Dessert and coffee
- Water and wine included
At the end of the dinner you will return to the starting point along a simple route.
A romantic and convivial experience awaits you in our mountains!

In the event that there is not enough snow for snowshoeing, you will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
INFORMATION
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 220 m, there are no exposed sections.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, water or hot tea for the duration of the hike, a small snack such as dried fruit. Headlamp, possibly with a recommended steady red light.
COST: 50€ per person for the guided excursion, snowshoe rental and dinner.
If it is not a snowshoe hike due to the absence of snow, the price will not change.

From there it is necessary to travel by car with your own vehicle on an asphalt road, about 7 minutes.
