BARBED WIRE IN THE HEART
Wandering souls in a sort of limbo, popularly understood, which is granted a unique opportunity: regain its lost appearance just long enough to tell us about their brief earthly life, suddenly cut off by the tragic events of the great war, abandoning so bodiless shadows's status.
Stories of men and women who wait at home news from the front, having undergone hierarchical orders often incomprehensible and unacceptable, who viewed sorely tested their faith, who were able to sacrifice himself in the name of ideals sometimes distant, that will no longer be able to embrace their loved ones.
Director's statement:
The staging starts from the need to "materialize" a whole range of emotions, moods, through this temporary awakening of the protagonists of the play in order to stimulate our imagination and understand that the time corresponding to a century, when compared with space and time exist in the entire universe, is maybe one thousandth of a nano second. Therefore the truth told by these characters not based on temporality as perceived by us.
Not surprisingly their awakening warns us that the past is our present, since history in the sense of its courses and resorts, does not change the
events and conditions than by the radical change in our consciousness. Since you are talking War I might quote a phrase of Herodotus that States: "ain't no man crazy to the point of preferring war to peace. In peace sons bury fathers, in war are the fathers bury their sons. "
This arrangement, however, has its roots in a purely historical land except to the final part, since it wasn't our understanding; in fact over this stage boards each protagonist weaves a canvas with the thread of her own past, naked and raw. No losers, no winners but only beings sacrificed in vain.
