Course "NICE to WRITE-italic. The cursive script of the ' 400 '
On the occasion of the exhibition "", Sunday, june 23, 2019 will be re-proposed the COURSE of calligraphy "beautiful write-italic. The cursive script of the ' 400', edited by the professional Calligrapher Anna schettin.
The course will be held at the Civic Library of Asiago, from 9.00 to 18.00.
A real full immersion in the fascinating world of calligraphy to learn how to write like our ancestors.
NICE TO WRITE
Italic. The cursive script of the 400
Why write by hand in full digital era? Because handwriting is personal and not mechanical: of-marks and transmits our thoughts and makes precious what is applied.
Calligraphy has changed over the years, following fashions and adapting to new and different spaces, but its purpose has remained unchanged: to communicate in a unique way.
This laboratory is addressed to those who want to get closer to calligraphy and also to re-learn an elegant and functional model of personal and daily writing.
There will be help the elegant forms ofItalics, the humanistic Writing Also called Cancelleresca, which studied with method will make our writing more spontaneous, easy to write, easy to read and therefore Personal satisfaction.
You will find out how the sign "polite" was born with the study of the form of the letters written first with the pencil and then in the historical form with the pen pointy Tronca.
Brought from the Arrighi to its maximum formal fulfillment in the first decades of 1500, the Italic script – or even called Cancelleresca – is one of the most beautiful and current historical writings, extremely versatile and suitable for many applications.
ANNA SCHETTIN
Anna Schettin is a graphic, calligrapher and lecturer at the academies and schools of DesigN.
He helped to spread calligraphy in Italy through the teaching and activities of theItalian calligraphic Association, of which was in 1991 one of the founders.
In the formal scriptures he prefers the wide-pointed styles: historical and elegant or strong and modern writings that practice with traditional or informal instruments in search of original and expressive signs. Enriches his training and passion for letters with experiences in typography, engraving and printing, miniature, bindery and applied techniques.
