Morning walk with Asiago Guide in Mezzaselva, on the occasion of "HOGA ZAIT - THE FESTIVAL CIMBRO®"
Saturday, July 11, 2020 the second day of"HOGA ZAIT - THE FESTIVAL CIMBRO®" begins with an interesting guided hike to Toballe,the name by which the Cimbri called the village of Mezzaresel,hamlet of Roana.
The walk will be conducted safely by professional guides of AsiagoGuide and will take you to the places of the traditional cimbra.
Through ancient districts you will find names of localities that belong to the "placeomastic cimbra" linked to a family, an ancient craft or other peculiarities present in the contrada.
The excursion will last about three hours, starting at 9.30am and arriving at around 1pm.
EXCURSION DETAILS
The various peoples who ascended the Plateau began to cultivate it gradually by deforestationing the gentle slopes to make fields and pastures. As the population grew, new settlements were created, characterized not only by more or less colorful names of some family, profession or particularity present in the contrada.
Among the ancient cards appear places such as Trujo, Schneidar, Tokkalar, Pajazzen... These place names, today more or less faithfully Italianized, tell us stories
the inventiveness and ability of these people.
From contrada in contrada, walking along easy paths we will notice many peculiarities of the territory thanks to the placeomastic cimbra to live together a mountain of
Emotions!
Difficulty: 3 out of 5
The route is looping and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain trails and dirt roads. The uphill difference is less than 350
there are no exposed strokes.
To take with you: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, windproof waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion
(at least 1 litre), possibly a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, cap.
Meeting place:9.30 a.m. in Cimbri Square, Roana Half-Wild (VI).
We leave on foot from the meeting place.
Important:
Reservations are required for all Hogazait 2020 activities
organizational and security management purposes (all activities are free until available places are exhausted).
In case of bad weather the event will be postponed to 24/25/26 July.
