Saturday 12 August 2023, the Pro Loco of Mezzaselva, in collaboration with Asiago Guide, organizes a beautiful and exciting evening excursion with dinner at Baito Erio, a strategic point to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni and to admire the spectacle of the starry sky in August.
The excursion will take place from 20:00 to 23.00.
At the last light of day, we will walk along an easy forest road that will lead us through the woods to see the sun set from Monte Erio with a breathtaking view of the central Asiago basin and the Small Dolomites.
Once we reach the Baito Erio, a small jewel arranged and managed by the Pro Loco of Mezzaselva, we will savor a simple, but typical mountain buffet dinner (mixed platters of cold cuts and cheeses).
At the hut we will have the opportunity to use a telescope to observe the sky and, if we are lucky, we will be enveloped by shooting stars typical of this period, the Perseids.
Our guide, a passionate amateur astronomer, will take you to discover the celestial vault and the many scientific and mythological curiosities that characterize it.
The return will then be accompanied by the light of the stars and maybe ... from the encounter with some nocturnal animal!

INS AND OUTS
MEETING POINT: 20:00 at the Pro Loco of Mezzaselva (Piazza Cimbri, 21) - Transfer by car, with own vehicle, on paved road necessary.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging).
The route does not present particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
TO BRING WITH YOU: MOUNTAIN BOOTS, LAYERED CLOTHING SUITABLE FOR THE MOUNTAIN CLIMATE, WATERPROOF JACKET, WATER FOR THE DURATION OF THE EXCURSION (AT LEAST 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, cap, front battery (possibly with red light).
COST: € 50 for the guided excursion per person, with use of the telescope and dinner based on mixed platters of cold cuts and cold cuts.
