TOMA
Toma was born in 2009. The project represents themusical evolution of over ten years of collaboration between the two musicians Lombardi and Martin O'Loughlin. Their music is in a suitcase hung with stickers from various cities of Asia, Africa, Australia and Europe: a non-place that has a permanent seat, a nomadic music unknown root but with well-defined influences. Voices, percussions and didgeridoo are one vaulted scenario almost surreal and evocative impact.
The Group has recently expanded with the addition of Michael Budai, musicologist and scholar of ethnic percussion as the frame drum and the darbuka.
Sponsored by the AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY EVENT: is a prestigious recognition that attests to theunconditional support of the Australian Government for the Festival, acknowledging and endorsing cultural aspects contained in the program.
