On Friday, January 5, 2024, don't miss "Winter Legends", a historical-naturalistic guided snowshoe hike through the woods and pastures of Cesuna, organized by the Pro Loco of Cesuna with Asiago Guide.
It is said that walking in the woods of the Plateau you can be enveloped by a magical atmosphere and among the snowy trees you may happen to meet a thread of golden wool, which guides, if you manage to grab it, to peek at the Blessed Women, little fairies, intent on weaving wonderful dresses and chatting with some fox or roe deer...
It may also happen to see in the distance a large elusive silhouette, that of a big man who moves nimbly among the intricate labyrinths of rock, called Billar-Man whose adventurous story is waiting to be discovered...
And if you look at the snow that surrounds the undergrowth, you can also see many tracks of wild animals, from squirrels to wolves... But, if you don't want to get into trouble, it's important to remember to never step on the footprint of the Sanguinello!
In short, it will be an adventure in nature to discover the Cimbrian culture and the popular imagination that will excite you!

INFORMATION
MEETING POINT: 9:00 a.m . at the square of the former Cesuna station.
We start on foot from the meeting point.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
The route will be established a few days before the event based on weather conditions and the presence of ice/snow.
In the event that there is not enough snow, you will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: waterproof mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, sunglasses, water or hot tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit.
COST: 5 € per person for the guided hike
Snowshoes and poles can be rented: 10 € per person.
