Made in 2016 national event in Asiago, Alpine mountain cheeses from 8 to September 11, 2016

Made in mountain huts, the national event dedicated to mountain cheeses, back to Asiago from8 to 11 September 2016, full of initiatives, News and ... of cheese!

The event par excellence dedicated to wine tasting and the Discovery of mountain cheeses will animate the historic centre of Asiago with tasting and encounters in stores, bars, restaurants and hotels in the city.

The mountain cheese will be featured in the activities of the Centre of Asiago, as well as the common thread of a weekend spent full of taste, flavours and the typical products of our plateau that Alpine huts outside the region that this year will be our guests.

Made in malga 2016 caters all lovers of Alpine cheese and confirms a pleasant opportunity to discover tastes and flavours of "high altitude". The event can only participate in the productions ofmountain farming (products over 600 metres a.s.l.).

TASTING TABLES

Cheeses and products of the mountain starring with tastings, workshops and meetings in listings of Asiago Centre. Every shop, boutique, bar, restaurant and bar circuit win Made in Malga will host a manufacturer with its specialties.

  • Friday 9 Saturday 10 and Sunday September 11, 2016, from 10.00 to 19.00

L'OSTERIA DI MONTAGNA

The space covered in Piazza Carli, near the stage of the music, will be transformed into Osteria where you can taste the typical dishes of the malga: tosella, pastin, sopressa, gnocchi, polenta, prosciutto, Asiago PDO cheese burgers and pie Ortigara. Also high altitude wines and craft beers. All strictly from the mountain.

CRAFTSMAN WORKSHOPS

How to make butter
Thursday, 8 and Saturday 10 a.m. to 11.30 at the Clubinò American Bar, via Monte Cengio 14, edited by Ignatius Orgiana. With the use of the butter churn and original wooden molds, creating the butter.

How to make cheese
Saturday 10 a.m. to 16.00 in Piazza Carli, prepared by the core group of Asiago.

Wool dyeing
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 a.m. to 15.00 at "the puppy", piazzetta degli Alpini 6, curated by Michela Musitelli. Demonstration of wool dyeing with pigments autochthonous of plateau, from spontaneous gathering. Everything is self-produced.

My bar of SOAP
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 respectively at 11.00 and 15.30, at theHotel Paradise, curated by Michelle Gaius. A pleasant meeting dedicated to SOAP-making craftsmanship. With your hands create your SOAP.

The cuchi: basic techniques to build a clay whistle
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 respectively at 11.00 and 16.00, at Natal Baby, via j. Scajaro 22, edited by Guiseppe Daiya. For children, the aim is to introduce the possibility to have fun transforming raw materials like clay in special items.

INTERNATIONAL MOUNTAIN WINE AND VITICULTURE EROICA-MOUNTAIN WINE FESTIVAL

At the same time as Made in Malga, there will also be the 2nd Edition of the Salone del vino and heroic viticulture, in Piazza Carli to Asiago.

The heroic viticulture and wine Lounge is positioned in a marquee independent and exclusively dedicated to thetaste of high-altitude productions. For tasting there will be over 130 Italian and foreign wines.
The event also includes a calendar of workshops with insights and themes tastings led by expert guides.
