On Sunday 6 July 2025, you can try a truly unique experience: trekking with donkeys to discover the tour of the Malghe di Caltrano, among breathtaking views and green pastures where cows happily graze on the tender mountain grass rich in flowers and aromatic herbs that give the cheeses a unique taste.

The excursion will begin at Malga Serona with a rich breakfast of freshly milked alpine milk, tea, coffee and a slice of cake.

After breakfast we will set off at a donkey's pace for an excursion of medium difficulty of about 6 km and 200 meters of elevation gain lasting about 2 and a half hours between paths and paved roads with little traffic where children can take turns riding donkeys and adults can lead them with the halter.

At the end of the excursion we will return to Malga Serona where, for those who wish, it will be possible to have lunch in the malga on the list menu savoring the cheeses and typical local products of the malga.

ELEVATION GAIN: 200 m

LENGTH: about 7 km in total

TO TAKE ON THE EXCURSION: MOUNTAIN BOOTS, LONG PANTS, LAYERED CLOTHING, HAT AND SUNSCREEN. Do not forget water for the entire duration of the excursion (at least 1.5 liters) as there are no water supply points along the way.

The fee includes breakfast in the malga.

The route does not allow the use of strollers.
