From 15 July to 15 September 2023, the War Museum 1915-1918, in Canove di Roana, will host the exhibition "The Train of Memories - NOSTALGIA OF THE MAGICAL ROCCHETTE LINE - ASIAGO".
The exhibition is dedicated to the historic Piovene Rocchette-Asiago railway, a daring track that once represented the vital link between the Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities and the plain below.
The railway line, 21,190 km long and with one of the most challenging slopes in Italy, was crossed by a steam train that, between the puff of smoke and the roar of the rails, earned the affectionate popular nickname of "Vaca mora".
The exhibition offers a nostalgic dive into a past of engineering challenges and everyday life, reconstructing the timeless charm of this railway line and its interesting history.
The exhibition will be open during the opening hours of the museum, namely:
