Snowshoe hike to the Alpine Bar on the Asiago plateau, December 29, 2015

Tuesday, 29 December 2015 the Alpine Hut Bar on theAsiago plateau offers ahike with snowshoes silent nature: a round trip easy, to be fascinated by the forest and unusual environments and scenarios.

You run along paths and roads, until it reaches the Alpine Hut Bar, in Pozza del Favero (Caltrano Vicenza) that welcomes you with a lunch to enjoy in peace and in good company.

EXCURSION PROGRAM

• Meeting at 10.00, acquaintance with the Guide and the group, briefing about using snowshoes (for whom he never used)
• Start along the path that crosses the English Cemetery (one of five of theAltopiano di Asiago) and the Italian cemetery, with notes on the first world war, naturalistic aspects of the forest, Alpine ponds. You pass through the wooded clearings and some stretches of the area to Mount Zovetto, up to the top, from which you can enjoy an exceptional panorama over the entire conca di Asiago: mount Campolongo, Verena, the area ofOrtigara, Melette with Monte Fior, the villages of Cesuna, Canove, Asiago with the sacred monument of Leiten.
• Ascent (light) to puddle dantzler to the Alpine refuge conch Bar that awaits us with the stove on.
• Lunch (first or main course, dessert, wine, coffee).
• Surprise ending and ... as they resumed the journey along a wooded tract that leads us back to descend into Val Magnaboschi
• Return to the cars by 16.00
