Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September 2023 will take place in Gallium, in Campomuletto, the historical re-enactment of the Great War 1915-1918 "Not to forget". The area of Campomuletto (like all the acrocoro delle Melette), was affected from May 1916 by fierce fighting (First Battle of the Melette) aimed at countering the Austro-Hungarian offensive, known as the Spring Offensive, with the aim of finding outlets towards the underlying Venetian Plain.
Those bloody events inspired the work of Emilio Lussu "A year on the plateau", since the author took part in the fighting in first person in the ranks of the Sassari Brigade.
The re-enactment will be attended by numerous groups of Italian and foreign re-enactors united by a spirit of friendship and a culture of brotherhood among peoples.
"Not to forget" is the phrase engraved by our grandparents in 1920, with the wound still open, on the Colonna Mozza dell'Ortigara as a warning so that similar carnage does not happen again.

For traffic needs, parking is mandatory at the Campomulo Refuge (20 minutes walk from the Re-enactment). Follow the directions on the route and any signs.
This event represents an unmissable opportunity to experience a piece of Italian history, organized by the Municipality of Gallium in conjunction with the event "Made in Malga".
Alongside tastings of local products, guests can immerse themselves in a moment of culture and memory, reliving moments that belong to past generations. The Asiago plateau thus becomes the scene of two events that combine flavors and history.
The public is encouraged to participate and share this event on their channels. By paying tribute and honour to the stories of past grandparents and great-grandparents, you help preserve the memory for future generations.
