Sunday 27 August 2023, the Pro Loco of Canove invites you to participate in the interesting guided excursion "Roan - Canove History of a Territory", a journey to discover the history and unique landscape of this beautiful hamlet of Roana on the Asiago 7 Municipalities plateau. 

The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 am at the chalet of the Pro Loco of Canove. From there, Asiago Guide will guide you on a walk through the paths that tell the story of the wonderful territory of Roan, the Cimbrian name of Canove, to reach the places of the first prehistoric settlements. 

The steep slopes of the Valley, the "roan" precisely, give the name to this place in the ancient Cimbrian dialect.

The excursion will end at approximately 12:30. 

Booking is required within the previous day, the event is in fact a limited number (max 25/30 people) to ensure the best experience for all participants. 

The cost is € 5 per person for participants aged 6 and over, while for residents the excursion is free.

The Asiago plateau offers unique emotions to live step by step, and we are sure that this experience will be an unforgettable memory.

INS AND OUTS

MEETING POINT: 9.30 am chalet of the pro-loco of Canove. It starts on foot from the meeting place.

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging). The route is a ring and does not present particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 300 m, there are no exposed sections. 

TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, any sunscreen.

COST: 5 € for the guided excursion (free for residents in the Municipality of Roana)
