Step by step through the woods and mountain pastures we discover the secret life of the shepherds.
An adventure that allows us to know the activity of breeding flocks of the past and today.
We will witness a demonstration of working dogs in harmony with the shepherd, who with simple gestures accompanied by mottos incomprehensible to us, orders what to do to their dogs. A symbiosis that is handed down from generation to generation to ensure the safety of the sheep and the work of the breeder.
The life of the wanderer today has become more difficult due to the presence of the wolf skilled predator of sheep. For this reason, the shepherds have equipped themselves with guard dogs, such as the Maremma shepherds of Abruzzo. A challenge and a difficult coexistence.
There will also be a rich outdoor snack based on typical products!

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging). The route is a ring and does not present particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is about 350 m, there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: MOUNTAIN BOOTS, LAYERED CLOTHING SUITABLE FOR THE MOUNTAIN CLIMATE, WATERPROOF JACKET, WATER FOR THE DURATION OF THE EXCURSION (AT LEAST 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, any sunscreen.
COST: € 25 for the guided excursion per person, € 10 for children and teenagers between 5 and 15 years.
