
As part of the calendar of "Su, in Malga!", the summer festival promoted by the Municipality of Gallio to enhance the culture of the mountain pastures, on Saturday 26 July 2025, from 9:00 to 12:00, a special morning is scheduled at Malga Verde, with an excursion and guided tour to discover a unique mountain pasture, between ancient knowledge, dairy innovation and taste.
A stone's throw from the "gates of the Plateau", the gentle pastures of Malga Verde extend. A special place, not only for its evocative location, but because it is the only mountain pasture to produce Asiago PDO di Malga exported to the United States and Canada.
The visit will allow you to get to know the reality of the Cortese family, which, led by their determined daughter, carries on the tradition of mountain pastures and dairy processing with passion and competence. A centuries-old tradition that is renewed thanks to a modern vision, capable of combining the genuineness of the past with innovation in techniques and products.
At the end of the experience, participants will be able to taste the cheeses of the malga, to savor firsthand the fruits of this perfect balance between history, territory and creativity (a contribution of € 5 per person is required for the tasting).

The route does not present any particular technical difficulties, is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads and mountain paths. The uphill elevation gain is less than 150 m, there are no exposed sections.
🎒TO BRING ALONG: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat.
