A year on the plateau-I have so many memories as if I had a hundred years

The first world war, the great war. The Dimonios of Sassari Brigade and the events of the trench. Memory, the poetry of iron and cognac, of fire and blood. While European giants fall, they fall victims in the mud of the plateau. The flash, the joints and the wounds of the great Rumpus. Reading made rich by the words of an author who turns morally war and class that causes it. Provocative sounds of guitar and launeddas and drums, folk instruments notoriously intertwined narratives and speak on this trip with universal sounds.

The recital adapted from Emilio Lussu Memorial "a year on the plateau" takes its cue from the title page in the book "I have more memories than if I had a thousand years," in apparent reference to "flowers of evil" from Baudelaire. The literary text was the loyal friend of the author, during his long stay in seven municipalities of the Asiago plateau.

The high literary value, civil, social and historical identity of the work results in artistic need the will to pass down through the performative language of prose-musical, moral message contained in it, as well as honor the memory of the Sardinian people that with thousands of lives he paid the terrible price of War. It is known that the Spanish rulers lived in Sardinia, they defined the Sardinians "Pocos locos headaches unidos", while Emilio Lussu, in his textual analysis, points out that for the first time the Sardinians remained together, albeit in the misfortune of the trenches. Brings together the collective thought of "Red Devils", under the motto "Fortza paris"-"come together". Unity, solidarity and fraternity, were the common denominators that allowed the unfortunate fighters, to spend those three long years of war.
