From Friday 13 to Sunday 15 June 2025, the splendid setting of Malga Col del Vento in Kan Züne, Cesuna di Roana, in Perghele, hosts "The Plateau of the Shepherds," a unique event dedicated to the discovery of the ancient pastoral traditions of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities. 
It will be three days of celebration to get to know sheep and shepherds (and not only!), with a program full of interesting activities (discover the COMPLETE PROGRAM BELOW).

The Malga Col del Vento festival offers many opportunities to deepen one's knowledge of pastoral practices, thanks to meetings and conferences held by experts in the field. Visitors will also be able to participate in sheep shearing workshops, an ancient ritual that is repeated every spring and autumn. It will also be possible to admire and buy woolen artifacts, the result of the craftsmanship of shepherds.

And there will be moments of conviviality and taste with tasting of gastronomy and typical products of the plateau and the malga. 

"The Shepherds' Plateau" is an unmissable event for nature and tradition enthusiasts, and for anyone who wants to live an authentic and engaging experience.

🐑 Friday, June 13

10:00 a.m .

🔹 Opening of the sheepfold: guided tour of the hut and the Foza sheep with the shepherd Stefano "Felicione" 

🔹 Opening of the photographic exhibition by Gigi Abriani at the rooms of the malga (the exhibition will remain open for the duration of the festival)

12:00 🍽️ pm Lunch with mountain specialties and the Seven Municipalities of Malga Col del Vento (by reservation)

4:00 🥾 p.m. Excursion: guided tour of the hut and the Foza sheep with the shepherd Stefano "Felicione"

5:00 🐏 p.m. Transhumance: leading the flock into the sheepfold always with the shepherd Stefano "Felicione"

6:00 📚 p.m. WOOLSHED Conference – Update meeting "A new era for alpine wool" | Interreg Alpine Space Project Debate aimed at the actors of the project and open to the interested public

8:00 🍴 pm Dinner: tasting of traditional Cimbrian dishes, with particular emphasis on Foza sheep meat

🔹 Opening of the Wool Market in the courtyard of Malga Col del Vento: handicrafts related to wool, leather, wood, candles, cheeses and gardener

8:00 🍴 p.m. Themed dinner: "The enhancement of the meat of the Foza sheep". During the dinner, Dr . Forester Gian Battista Rigoni Stern will illustrate the connections between the Foza sheep and the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities
