After the opening day on Sunday 29 June, entitled "Waiting Up in the Malga" - an exciting preview in Piazza Italia and Piazza Giardini dedicated to children - the calendar of "SU, IN MALGA!" kicks off in Gallio 2025, the event designed to enhance and make the mountain pasture known through guided excursions, workshops and authentic experiences.
The Municipal Administration of Gallio invites everyone to participate in the numerous initiatives that – just like the mountain pasture – will accompany the summer, from the end of June to September, leading to the discovery of an ancient world, made up of secrets, knowledge and genuine flavors.
A rich program of summer events in the mountain huts of the area awaits you, organized in collaboration with Asiago Guide. The outings, designed to involve adults and children, will offer unique experiences in contact with nature, animals and mountain tradition.
Each excursion will be different and special. For example, you can:
- participate in guided walks through the pastures and woods of the Plateau,
- meet and get to know cows, horses and other alpine animals ,
- observe and participate in the production of cheese or ricotta,
- Taste typical dairy products directly in the hut
- … and more! DISCOVER THE PROGRAM BELOW (with links to the individual initiatives for further information and reservations).
"Come on, to the Malga!" is proposed as a real experiential journey in the heart of the Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities, able to involve all the senses and convey the values of rurality, respect for the environment and sustainable production.
The journey that began with "UP IN THE MALGA!" will end on Saturday 20 September 2025 with "SCARGAR MALGA", the great event that celebrates the end of the mountain pasture season, dedicated to honey, mountain products and the millenary tradition of transhumance, between ancient knowledge, nature and flavors to be preserved.
