Made in Malaga postponed until 2021

The ninth edition of the Made In Malga event, scheduled for the first two weekends of September, has been postponed until next year

PRESS RELEASE: THE NINTH EDITION OF MADE IN MALAGA POSTPONED TO 2021

A choice of intense responsibility between Asiago Cheese Protection Consortium, Municipality of Asiago and Guru Communication

Asiago, 17 July 2020 – Made in Malga, the national event dedicated to cheeses and mountain products traditionally scheduled in the first and second week of September in Asiago and the Plateau of the 7 municipalities, is postponed until 2021. A necessary decision, although painful, that was taken in agreement between the Asiago Cheese Protection Consortium,the Municipality of Asiago and the organizational secretariat of Guru Communication.

For Fiorenzo Rigoni, President of the Asiago Cheese Protection Consortium:"Until the last we believed that we could make this event so loved and expected. Unfortunately, the sense of responsibility that the pandemic situation imposes on visitors and exhibitors, leads us to be cautious, since the production of Asiago DOP is a flywheel capable of attracting numerous Italian and foreign visitors to this territory."

"Witha sense of responsibility and fulfilling the protocol Asiago Seven Municipalities safe destination drawn up by manager Josep Ejarque, by mutual agreement with the organizers we decided to put first the protection of the health of our citizens and our guests.-adds Nicola Lobbia, Councilor for Tourism and Agriculture of the Municipality of Asiago - We will work right away to design an unforgettable edition in 2021; this time will be useful to innovate this event that gives shine to the huts, our most important identity."

Luca Olivan, of guru Communication, concludes:"Expectations for the 2020 edition are high. Hence the knowledge that it would be risky to contain the event and enforce the security provisions. Reducing the activities of the program is unthinkable for us. Made in Malga, either you do as it should be done or it is better not to do it. Let's give everyone an appointment in September 2021 for a complete edition and indeed, even richer! In the meantime, in the magazine and in social media we will continue to communicate the values and goodness of mountain productions."
