Centro Fondo Campolongo

The Centro Fondo Campolongo (mt 1551) on theplateau of Asiago 7 Comuni, undisputed realm of skiing, is one of the most fascinating areas of the region. The Center is located in the northern part of the plateau of Asiago, the "high mountain" as it was defined by Mario Rigoni Stern.

The Centro Fondo Campolongo abundant snow falls every winter and skiing until late spring.

The magical scenery rich in suggestions that unfold the slopes of a glimpse of the places of the Great War of 15-18, of which these mountains have been involved and scored from those tragic events.

Further, through green pastures and forests you can reach the Plateaus of Luserna and Vezzena, whose trails stretch over 100 kilometersto stain.

The Centro Fondo Caicedo has 6 Trails suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to black track of 40 km to Millegrobbe. The Center then has 3 tracks for snowshoeing easy and medium difficulty.

RENT

At the Centro Fondo Campolongo you can rent all the equipment needed to make safety fun sports: ski, ski boots, snowshoes, bob and sledges are among the many items available for hire.

REFUGE

The starting point of the cross-country trails of the Center lies the Refuge Campolongo, obligatory stop for those who want to enjoy some mountain cuisine and find a bit of relaxation and warmth between the quiet of the Woods. The Campolongo pass Refuge has a Spa/spa.

STRONG

Most of the tracks and roads of these mountains were built for military purposes during the first world war. Step nowadays, surrounded by quiet, winter is an opportunity to touch the history that has left evident traces.

The project of the Eco-Museum of the great war has resulted in the restoration and renovation of the trenches and vintage artifacts, now documented and accessible to all.

Among the works there is the restored Fort Campolongo (1720 m), within walking distance, with skis or snowshoes.

The Fort, built between 1912 and 1914 and located in a strategic point from which you can enjoy a spectacular view overlooking the Val d'astico, is definitely one of the best preserved forts of the plateau and arrival point of one of the two paths of Peace and the plain of Vezzena pass through theAsiago plateau 7 Comuni.
