Nestled in nature and surrounded by typical wildlife, the Valmaron Refuge (1400m above sea level), overlooking the Marcesina Plain in Valmaronresorts, is ideal for all mountain enthusiasts, from Nordic skiers to summer excursions.

Built in 1966 and renovated in 2016, the Valmaron Refuge is located just 12 km from Enego, in an uncontaminated environment, where you can rediscover the pleasure of being in contact with nature.
In summer it is a favorite destination for hiking and walking enthusiasts, mushroom hunters and mountain bikers, who can regenerate here by enjoying the delicious typical and homemade dishes prepared by Marco and Mrs. Irma with local ingredients. 
In winter, the Valmaron Refuge is a place coveted by ski lovers: it is located at the start of the cross-country trails of the Enego Cross-Country Center.

For those who want to spend a holiday in contact with nature, the Valmaron Refuge offers all the necessary comforts for an unforgettable stay. The 10 rooms of the refuge have been recently renovated, to guarantee guests the right rest.

The genuineness and friendliness typical of the family management make guests feel at home, for a very special holiday.

The services

SOLARIUM Outside the Refuge there is a large sun terrace, to relax and enjoy the sunny days.
GYMNASIUM For those who want to keep fit even during their stay, the Valmaron Refuge has a small gym with machines and equipment to keep their muscles trained.
SAUNA Inside the gym there is also a cabin for two people for Finnish sauna or biosauna.
RELAXATION ROOM A comfortable relaxation room with TV equipped with SKY and large stone fireplace will welcome you in moments of relaxation and leisure.
SKI STORAGE AND RENTAL For all fans of Nordic skiing, during the winter a rental is open for the complete cross-country ski equipment. A ski storage room is also available for all guests of the refuge.

Bar and restaurant

The typical cuisine and home of mark and of Mrs. Irma accompanies the visitor on a journey through the traditional flavors ofAsiago plateau: mushrooms gathered around, cheese products from Alpine pastures near and game in the area are the products km 0 that are used to create tasty dishes and specialties of the refuge.

The large hall of the restaurant, with its 120 seats is ideal for Group lunches and dinners, banquets for ceremonies and anniversaries, family gatherings; But even the passing tourist can stop here to regenerate after an excursion or a day on the slopes.

At the entrance of the hut, there is also a large bararea, to drink coffee or eat something on the fly.

The plain of Marcesina

The Valmaron Retreat is the perfect starting point for exploring the Plains of Marcesina, vast plateau ofAltopiano dei Sette Comuni known for its unspoiled landscapes and, above all, for its freezing temperatures in winter.

Despite being at an average of 1,400 meters above sea level, because of its location and the high sky-view factor, Marcesina is one of the coldest places in the Veneto andItaly.

The area is of considerable importance from the point of view of nature, with two bogs filled with diverse and rare botanical species and wildlife.

The trails and carriage roads of the first world war, in the summer, offer unforgettable itineraries riding mountain bike, on horseback or on foot; in winter, become sunny and pristine slopes or trails for snowshoeing.

The Ski Area

The Valmaron Refuge is located at the start of the slopes of cross country Center Enego, a true paradise for lovers of Nordic skiing.

The slopes of the ski area extends for about 200 km in total, through snowy landscapes of the Marcesina.

For those who enjoy snowshoeing, ski area also includes 26 km of footpath batted for trekking and snowshoeing and 7 km of route used just to walk with snowshoes.

You can also have fun out of Bobsleigh and tobogganing, in two specially equipped.
