Warm and refined,immersed in an enchanted landscape, where you can breathe all the magic of the high mountains: the Val Formica Refuge in Cima Larici (1653 mt) is a unique bar and restaurant for its typicality, ready to welcome the visitor in its natural curtain made of quiet, sun, nature, but also joy and fun.

Born from the careful renovation of an old hut, the Val Formica Hut since its opening in August 2011 has stood out for the warm atmosphere ofitspremises, rustic but elegant at the same time, and for the quality of itsrestaurant service, which ranges from the simplest to the most sought after dishes.

Thanks to the new bright room with a panoramic view of the pastures and ski slopes that can accommodate a hundred people, the Val Formica Hut is an ideal location even for the most important moments, such as weddings, anniversaries, ceremonies and various anniversaries, corporate dinners, family gatherings.

The cuisine of the Val Formica Hut offers not only the delicious dishes typical of the mountain tradition,seasonal specialties, grilled meats, but also refined dishes, themed dinners and, upon reservation, fish menus.

VAL ANT

Val Formica is anisland of beauty and peace to land in any season: the Refuge is open all year round,every day in summer and winter, from Thursday to Sunday in spring and autumn.

In summer it is the starting point for simple walks or more demanding excursions, along narrow streets and paths that lead you to immerse yourself in pastures and woods,or to reach the peaks of the mountains of the surroundings, of important historical and landscape importance.

Itineraries that can largely be covered also by mountain bike and, in winter, by snowshoeing.

On the snow is also beaten an itinerary that can be traveled simply with hiking boots and leads to immerse yourself in fairytale landscapes.

SKI AREA

Val Formica is also a ski area,ideal especially for families. Undemanding slopes served by a renovated ski lift and a new chairlift,starting in the immediate vicinity of the Hut.

Also available is the Winter Park with treadmills and space to have fun on inflatable boats, bobsleighs and toboggans, which can berented in the rental that also has skis, boots, poles, helmets, snowshoes. It is possible to book ski lessons with the instructors of the Larici Val Formica Ski School.

THE SURROUNDINGS

From the Refuge you can climb to the top of Larch, Manazzo Port, Manderiolo Top or up at the Spitz of Vezzena. Or go right on Portule, or just go visit the mountain pastures in the summer host cows to the pastures.

Beautiful are the views that you can enjoy during these excursions, ranging from the peaks of the plateau until the Valsugana and the Brenta Dolomites.

ON THE ORIGIN OF THE NAME

Val Formica is a name that intrigues and is due to the numerous anthills thatare located in these woods, as Mario Rigoni Stern also tells in "Stagioni":

"Passing by, the herdsers gave him a greeting and he answered with joy. He took the path that went down the Val Formica and understood whyit was called so, it was natural, to have thought about it: in that forest there were many anthills, even tall like him, built with coniferous needles ... "
