Warm and elegant, surrounded by an enchanting landscape, where you can feel the magic of the mountains: the Refuge Val Ant to top of Larch (1653 m) is a bar restaurant unique for its authenticity, ready to welcome the visitor in his natural quiet curtain, Sun, nature, but also joy and fun. The shelter does not currently have guest rooms, so you cannot stay overnight.

Born from the careful renovation of an old cabin, the Rifugio Val Ant since its opening in August 2011 stood out for thewarmth of its premises, rustic yet elegant at the same time, and for the quality catering service, ranging from the simplest to the most sophisticated dishes.

Thanks to the new bright lounge with panoramic view on the pastures and slopes that can accommodate hundreds of people, the Rifugio Val Ant is ideal even for the most important moments such as weddings, anniversaries, various ceremonies and celebrations, business dinners, family gatherings.

FACILITIES & SERVICES

Rifocillanti refreshments and snacksAfter a nice hike or a day on the snow, Rifugio Val Ant you can refresh with sandwiches and snacks made with cheese, salami and homemade desserts.
Small outdoor hutFor those who want to enjoy a sandwich, a drink, a coffee "on the fly", the Refuge Val Ant has a small hut with bar service.
SolariumThe large and comfortable solarium allows you to enjoy the Sun in all seasons, and is available to customers for free.
PlaygroundA large playground is available for younger guests to let them entertain with confidence.

KITCHEN

The cuisine of the "Formica Valley Hideaway offers not only delicious typical dishes of the mountain tradition, seasonal specialties, skewers and grilling but also the fish: a proposal that surprises customers, deliziandoli with the flavours of the sea at 1650 meters above sea level. All this without forgetting the refined themed dinners featuring various specialities.

VAL ANT

The Val Ant is anisland of beauty and peace that come in every season: the hut is open all year round, every day in summer and winter, from Thursday to Sunday in spring and autumn.

In summer is the starting point for easy walks or more demanding, along streets and paths that lead to plunging into pastures and forests, or to reach the tops of the surrounding mountains, from important historical and landscape significance.

Itineraries that you can largely go with mountain biking and, in winter, with the snow.

The snow is even beating an itinerary that you can travel simply with hiking boots and leads to immerse themselves in landscapes.

SKI AREA

The Val Ant is also a ski area, ideal especially for families. Little difficult Trails serviced by a refurbished lifts and a new chairlift, departing in the immediate vicinity of the refuge.

There is also the Winter Park with treadmills and space to have fun on inflatables, bob and sledges, which you can rent in rent that has skis, boots, poles, helmets, snowshoes. You can book ski lessons with instructors of the ski school Larici Val Formica.

THE SURROUNDINGS

From the Refuge you can climb to the top of Larch, Manazzo Port, Manderiolo Top or up at the Spitz of Vezzena. Or go right on Portule, or just go visit the mountain pastures in the summer host cows to the pastures.

Beautiful are the views that you can enjoy during these excursions, ranging from the peaks of the plateau until the Valsugana and the Brenta Dolomites.

ON THE ORIGIN OF THE NAME

To Val Ant is a name that intrigues and due to a number of nests found in these Woods, as also tells Mario Rigoni Stern in "Seasons":

"Past, herdsmen gave him a greeting and he replied cheerfully. Took the trail coming down to Val Ant and realised why you called so, it was natural for thinking: in that forest, there were many nests, even as tall as him, made of coniferous needles ..."
