Rifugio Verenetta

The VerenettaRefuge, located in the heart of the Vicentine Prealps,on theSeven Municipalities Plateau better known as the AsiagoPlateau, is located within the Verena 2000ski area.

The refuge offers the opportunity to stay at the foot of the slopes and in direct contact with the beautiful nature of the place. It offers nicely furnished rooms in alpine style equipped with all services including TV and wi-fi.

Kitchen

The Verenetta Hut has 2 large halls with a capacity of 240 seats, which serves mountain specialties as well as special dishes of our tradition.

Many of the ingredients used are a km 0, collected in our meadows and forests. You can try our homemade specialties such as homemade cakes, jam, the first dishes etc.

Ski Area

The Verenetta Refuge is the departure of Verena ski area just a few meters from the chairlifts.

With 12 runs downhill, always jokes, an area reserved for beginners, a ski and sledge hire and 6 ski lifts , the ski area is easily reachable thanks to the efforts of managers in maintaining the roads always accessible. Also the main chairlift arriving at 2020 m, offers the possibility to reach the top of Monte Verena.

The summer and strong

The area of Monte Verena is also an ideal destination during the summer months, when offers numerous walks and excursions and a landscape of 2020 metres with a wonderful view ofthe Asiago plateau and the surrounding Alps, in the midst of the Edelweiss.

Very interesting from a historical perspective, on the top of Mount we find the Strong Verena built between 1910 and 1914 to defend the Italian border. From this Fort, known as the Dominator, departed the first Cannon who started the great war of 15-18. It was then occupied by austro-Hungarian troops in hand which remained until the end of the conflict.
